What is the standard program like?

My core SAT/ACT program runs for 6 weeks. The meetings are once a week for 2 hours at a time. I usually assign about 30-45 minutes of homework per day outside of our meetings. The student is also required to take regular practice tests during the course of the tutorial. Some students require more time to prepare after the core program, in which case we can continue the weekly meetings.

Do you come to our house?

I usually conduct tutorials in students’ homes. However, I’m available for Skype meetings and meetings at libraries and coffee houses too.

What are the benefits of 1-on-1 tutoring vs small group tutoring and classes?

My goal is that every single student, regardless of whether it’s a group setting or not, receives the individual care and attention that he/she needs to succeed. Certain students (such as those who only need single subject tutoring or those who get extra time on tests due to special needs), however, may benefit more from 1-on-1 tutoring.

Are you the best SAT and ACT tutor?

Technically, I was once the highest level tutor (in Orange County) for the best test prep company in the nation (before I started my own company). However, the more important question is whether I am the best tutor for “you”. The “best” tutor for you will need to be able to meet your particular needs in terms of personality, teaching style, and energy. Through experience I’ve learned to recognize these individual needs and adjust my style to them, so there’s a greater chance that I can be the best tutor for you.
